ITALIAN CATHOLIC PRIEST, REV. FATHER FERRETTO QUITS MINISTRY, MARRIES KENYAN WOMAN HE MET DURING MISSIONARY WORK

An Italian born former Catholic priest, Father Sandro Ferretto, has left the priesthood to pursue a romantic relationship with a Kenyan woman he met while serving as a missionary in Kenya.

Ferretto previously served as a Catholic parish priest in Kasiela and Mochongoi, Baringo County, where he was involved in mission work in the region.

It was during his time there that he met Sharon Jepng’ok, a Tugen woman and daughter of former councillor John Wendot.

The encounter blossomed into a romantic relationship, prompting Ferretto to step away from the Catholic priesthood and pursue a new chapter focused on love and family.

He has now tied the knot with Sandra in a colourful traditional ceremony held at Seretion Village in Kasiela, Baringo South.

The ceremony brought together family, friends and members of the community as the former priest officially began his new life outside the ministry.

His decision to leave the priesthood and marry has since attracted attention, particularly because of his previous role as a Catholic priest and his years of missionary service in the Kenyan community.
