Fast-rising Nollywood actress and content creator Ella Emmanuel has opened up about the qualities she looks for in a romantic partner, revealing that stinginess is one trait she cannot tolerate.

Speaking during an interview with Potpourri, the actress said she is drawn to men who are kind, generous, intentional, intelligent and emotionally mature, stressing that character matters more than physical appearance when it comes to building a lasting relationship.

“I love a kind-hearted, generous, intentional and intelligent man. I admire someone who knows what he wants, takes responsibility, respects women, communicates well and is emotionally mature,” she said.

Describing stinginess as a major deal-breaker, Ella added, “One thing I cannot deal with is stinginess. Honestly, if you’re stingy, we probably can’t even be friends, let alone date. I’m naturally generous, so I appreciate someone with the same spirit. Kindness is attractive. Emotional intelligence is attractive. A man with purpose and vision is incredibly attractive.”

The actress also spoke about maintaining her values in Nollywood, saying she has set clear boundaries for herself and will never accept nude roles, regardless of the financial reward.

“I have personal values and boundaries that I won’t compromise. You will never see me taking nude roles or appearing naked in a movie, regardless of the amount of money involved. I believe it’s possible to deliver an outstanding performance without compromising my principles,” she stated.

Reflecting on her acting career, Ella recounted facing rejection, financial challenges and moments of self-doubt on her journey to success. She said those experiences taught her resilience, patience and consistency, helping her focus on personal growth rather than comparing herself to others as she continues to build her career.

The Senate has passed the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Act (Amendment) Bill, 2026, introducing significantly tougher penalties for traffic offences across the country. Under the amendment, anyone convicted of “failure to obey traffic lights, road signs, pavement or road markings” will be liable to a N100,000 fine. The bill also prescribes a N50,000 fine for anyone found “hawking, trading or preaching” inside commercial buses.
