Khana Has Only 17 Government-Recognised Bua and Chieftaincy Clans – Report

A report has revealed that Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State is traditionally and administratively divided into three kingdoms: Nyo-Khana, Babbe, and Ken-Khana.

According to the report, Khana has only 17 government-recognised Bua and chieftaincy clans, which were officially established in the 1970s.

The recognised Bua are:

- Bua Zaakpon
- Bua Kaani
- Bua Boue
- Bua Yaayor
- Bua Ka-Babbe
- Bua Nama
- Bua Yaasere
- Bua Baen
- Bua Bom
- Bua Kenwigbara
- Bua Kó
- Bua Beeri
- Bua Bangha
- Bua Lueku
- Bua Baan
- Bua Kua
- Bua Sogho

The report further states that these are the only 17 Bua and chieftaincy clans officially recognised by the government in Khana Local Government Area.
