The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged the Federal Government to adopt tougher measures against terr%rism and kidn@pping, insisting that confirmed offenders should not be prosecuted in court.

In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric argued that immediate execution of confirmed terr%rists and kidn@ppers would significantly reduce insecurity in the country.

“There should be no court for kidn@ppers and terr%rists; once they have been arrested and confirmed as terr%rists, they should be k+lled immediately. There is no need charging them to court because they won’t get the deserved punishment,” he said.

He also called for the arrest of anyone involved in negotiating with kidn@ppers or paying ransom, including governors.

“Such crimes should attract the immediate de@th penalty, and those talking to them and paying ransom should also be arrested; this is how terr%rism can end,” he added.

Primate Ayodele commended the Nigerian military for its efforts in tackling insecurity, particularly praising the Minister of Defence’s sh%%t-at-sight directive against terr%rists. He also appealed to President Bola Tinubu to honour soldiers and senior military officers for their service.

“The Nigerian army can do better; there are people who want to destroy the government with insecurity. Kudos to the Minister of Defence on the shoot-at-sight for terrorists; if they had done it before, terr%rism would come to an end.

“I urge President Tinubu to give national honours to our soldiers and top officers. They have done very well and should be appreciated for their good jobs.”

The cleric further warned that poorly funded private security outfits could become security thre@ts if left unchecked and suggested empowering local hunters by establishing operational bases for them in forests.
