Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has opened up about his failed engagement to actress Shailene Woodley, making fresh claims about what led to their split.

The 42 year old NFL star and the 34 year old actress began dating in 2020 and got engaged in December of the same year before publicly confirming their relationship in 2021. They eventually split in 2022.

Speaking during a podcast on Thursday, September 10, Rodgers claimed Woodley asked to be intimate with another man shortly after accepting his proposal.

“I date Shailene, I propose and she says yes,” he recalled. “She maybe felt like she was forced to make a decision, she could have said no. But not a couple of days after that, she tells me before we get married like, ‘I got to go f+ck this guy.’”

Rodgers stated that Woodley later removed her engagement ring by March, adding that they made several attempts to reconcile but never got back together.

“‘Cause her story is, I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her, but in actuality she told me that and took off the ring by March,” he said. “I proposed in December, took off the ring by March.She literally told me I don’t want to be with you.”

Explaining why he decided to speak publicly, Rodgers said, “There’s just a lot of narratives out there that are just not true and they portray things a certain way because they can get away with it.”

He also took a swipe at his former girlfriends, saying, “The height of their fame was when they were with me.”

The Ogoni Dialogue Committee, ODC, has denied claims that it influenced the allocation of 40 job slots at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, or played any role in the award of government contracts.
