WE ARE COMING FOR YOU - U.S LOBBYING FIRM SENDS THR£AT AGAINST PRESIDENT TINUBU OVER DR¥G TRAFF!CK!NG ALLEGATIONS

A United States-based political advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has reiterated its thr£at against Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu over dr¥g tr@fficking allegations linked to him. 

In a post on its verified X handle, Von Batten-Montague-York said it was coming for President Tinubu. 

The firm stated that during the Republican National Midterm Convention, its founder, Dr Von Batten, met with members of Congress and senior state government officials, including Virginia Representative John McGuire and his Indiana counterpart, Diego Morales. 

It said Von Batten briefed them about Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) allegations that President Tinubu was part of a criminal organization that smuggled her%in from Nigeria into the United States during the 1980s and 1990s. 

The firm noted that Virginia members of Congress and Indiana state officials are critical because, according to court records, Tinubu’s group allegedly smuggled their p%ison (her%in) from Nigeria into Chicago and Indiana, and Tinubu allegedly laundered the dr¥g proceeds through multiple banks, including banks in Virginia. 

“We have a message for President Bola Tinubu and his enablers. We are coming for you. As cowardly 9/11 t+rrorists and their enablers found out, time is irrelevant. 

“Those who h@rm Americans cannot outrun American justice. The w@r against Nigerian Narco t+rrorists has no expiration date,” the firm tweeted.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has clarified that it does not have direct and absolute regulatory oversight over unbranded palm oil, fufu and other traditionally packaged staple foods sold in open markets.  NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, disclosed this on Monday while briefing journalists on the agency’s efforts to combat suspected counterfeit, adulterated and unsafe products across Nigeria.  Adeyeye revealed that NAFDAC received 225 complaints about suspected counterfeit products in August, noting that the agency gets more than 200 complaints from Nigerians every month through its various reporting channels.  “We received over 200 complaints from Nigerians monthly; in August we received 225 calls through NAFDAC complaint channel,” she said, according to NAN.  She urged Nigerians to report suspected counterfeiters through NAFDAC’s official complaint channels instead of relying solely on social m...

The Nigerian government has reportedly entered a secret ceasefire agreement with the Boko Haram faction led by Bakura Doro, according to The New Humanitarian, in a development said to have contributed to a relative lull in vi%lence across parts of northeastern Nigeria since June.  Sources with links to senior Boko Haram members told the publication that the truce was connected to negotiations for the release of more than 300 civilians abd¥cted in March from Ngoshe in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.  The victims spent about 95 days in captivity before their release, which the government described as the result of an intelligence-led operation involving Operation Hadin Kai and the State Security Service (SSS).
