HON. PRINCE JOHN LEADS THOUSANDS OF PTUPG MEMBERS TO HONOUR LATE JOY AMACHREE SISTER TO HON OROLOSAMA

The President of the Port Harcourt Township United Pressure Group (PTUPG), Hon. Prince John Tamunokuro, has led thousands of members of the group to the burial ceremony of Late Miss Joy Peter Oforibo Amachree, sister to Hon. Orolosama.

The burial ceremony, which attracted dignitaries from across Nigeria, was attended by prominent personalities, friends, associates, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased and stand in solidarity with the Amachree family.

Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. Prince John expressed appreciation to members of PTUPG for turning out in large numbers to support Hon. Orolosama during the difficult moment.

He described Hon. Orolosama as more than just a patron of the group, stressing that he has been a strong and committed supporter of PTUPG since its early days.

The PTUPG President encouraged Hon. Orolosama to remain strong and take comfort in the love and support of family, friends, and members of the group.

He further reassured him that PTUPG would continue to stand firmly with him and his family, particularly during this period of grief.

The ceremony was marked by an outpouring of condolences as dignitaries and members of the public gathered to honour the life and legacy of Late Joy Peter Oforibo Amachree.

WE DON'T HAVE ABSOLUTE CONTROL OVER UNBRANDED PAIM OIL, FUFU SOLD IN OPEN MARKETS: NAFDAC

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has clarified that it does not have direct and absolute regulatory oversight over unbranded palm oil, fufu and other traditionally packaged staple foods sold in open markets.  NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, disclosed this on Monday while briefing journalists on the agency’s efforts to combat suspected counterfeit, adulterated and unsafe products across Nigeria.  Adeyeye revealed that NAFDAC received 225 complaints about suspected counterfeit products in August, noting that the agency gets more than 200 complaints from Nigerians every month through its various reporting channels.  “We received over 200 complaints from Nigerians monthly; in August we received 225 calls through NAFDAC complaint channel,” she said, according to NAN.  She urged Nigerians to report suspected counterfeiters through NAFDAC’s official complaint channels instead of relying solely on social m...
