2027: NDC, ADC, APM, PDP, PRP, SDP PROPOSE 4-YEAR 'GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL COMPETENCE"
A coalition of six opposition political parties has proposed the creation of a “government of national competence” that would serve a single four-year transition term if the coalition succeeds in the 2027 general election. The proposal was presented on Monday at a summit of opposition political parties organised by G100 in Abuja. The parties represented at the summit were the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP). Salihu Lukman, a former vice-chairman (North-West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presented the proposal at the summit.
